1 bag (14 oz.) vanilla and chocolate caramels
1/4 cup heavy cream
1can (8 oz.) pecans or walnuts
6 squares semisweet chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Unwrap caramels and combine with cream in top of a double boiler. Heat them over simmering water about 15 minutes; stir until creamy-smooth. Break up nuts coarsely and stir into mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1 inch apart, on buttered cookie sheets. Let stand an hour or until firm. While caramel mixture cools, melt chocolate over hot water until partly melted; remove from heat; stir until completely melted. Drop 1/4 teaspoonful of melted chocolate onto top of each caramel; spread lightly. Let stand until firm.
