1 pkg chocolate cake mix (dry)
1 can cherry pie filling
2 eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 stick butter (softened at room temperature)

Directions:
Cream eggs and butter with mixer, add rest of ingredients and stir by hand. Pour into greased 9 x 12 pan and bake at 350 for 45 min.

Frosting:
1 cup sugar
1/3 c milk
5 T butter
Boil 1 minute. Add 6 oz choc chips and beat well.
Frost cool cake with warm icing.
