3 - 4 pounds lean ground beef
2 large onions
3 small potatoes
1 can cut green beans
2 - 3 cans diced tomatoes
salt
garlic & chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the ground beef in a large kettle. Drain the grease from the meat.

Add salt, pepper and a little garlic and chili powder to taste.

Peel and quarter the potatoes and add to the meat.

Peel and quarter the onions and add to the meat.

Rinse and drain the green beans and add to the mixture.

Add the tomatoes. Some prefer the stew thicker than others. Use your judgement on how many tomatoes are needed. Can add some tomato juice to make it thinner if desired.

Check to make sure you added enopugh salt.

Cover and stew 30 to 45 minutes -- until the potatoes are done.

This is great comfort food. If its cold or you're feeling bad, nothing is better. I find it is much better the 2nd and third day so make a lot!
