"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box of "Premium" saltines
12 oz. peanut oil
1 packet ranch dressing mix
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 to 2 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper (this is your heat)

Directions:
Directions:
Place all crackers in a plastic container with locking, no spill lid.

Mix oil & seasonings together in a measuring cup. Stir well, making sure there are no clumps of seasoning.

Pour over crackers - pour all around the top layer, in between crackers and sides of container, etc. Put on lid, lock & turn upside down.

Turn the container over and on its side and continue to turn it every 15 minutes. This allows all crackers to become coated.

Turn until oil has been absorbed, but not dripping like the start. It may take up to an hour.
