1-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup shortening*
1/3 cup ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Add the shortening blending with a pastry blender until pastry is even bits the size of peas. Sprinkle ice water over this and mix until the mixture can be made into a ball. Handle the dough as little as possible. All the water may not be needed. Wrap in wax paper and chill it. Separate dough in to two balls. Roll out on a floured surface to fit a 9 inch pie pan. Bake as directed for recipe using.
