2 cans (16 oz. each) pork and beans, undrained
1 can (16 oz.) butter beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup

2 T. molasses
2 T. prepared mustard (French's hot dog mustard)
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional, I do not add salt)

Directions:
In a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Set aside. Drain out all but 2 T. of bacon fat. Add onions to skillet and cook about 8 minutes, until softened and a little brown. Add beef and cook until all the pink is gone. Add beans. Combine the rest of the ingredients and stir into bean and meat mixture. Pour into a greased
13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake at 350 º F. for 30 minutes covered, Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes. I like mine a little saucy. If you want drier beans, cook uncovered for the whole time.

Personal Notes:
These are the beans I bring to all the family get togethers in the summer. This came out of the Taste of Home 1999 Annual recipes and has become a family favorite. It is inexpensive, easy to put together, and everyone loves them.
