1 c. shredded pineapple
3/4 c. sugar
1 t. Knox gelatin
1/2 c. warm water
1 1/2 whipping cream
nuts
maraschino cherries
Angel food cake baked in 9x13 inch pan

Directions:
Directions:
Soak gelatin in warm water. Boil pineapple. Add gelatin and take off the stove. Cool in refrigerator. When it starts to set, whip cream and add to pineapple. When almost set put on cake. Top with nuts and cherries. Store cake in refrigerator.

This is also called Russian Roll. It was a common dessert in the Remsen, Iowa community, when visiting the Maass relatives.
