1-1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
2-3/4 c all purpose flour
2 t cream of tartar
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1/4 c sugar
2 t cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400
Mix sugar, butter, shortening, and eggs in large bowl
Stir in dry ingredient.
Shape in to balls the size of walnuts
Roll the balls in the cinnamon sugar mix
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 8-10 min

These were always a favorite of mine growing up and continue to be a 'have to make' at Christmas time. These days I use only butter.
