1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3/4 cup cocoanut
1 1/2 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup flour
salt

Roll in balls and pat down.

I have no idea how long to cook or at what temperature, or how many cookies this makes, because there are aren't any more instructions.

Like many family recipes handed down, I guess you just need to practice to figure out what "some of this," "a little of that," and "bake until golden brown" means.
