2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 cans (14.5 oz. each) sliced new potatoes drained or partially cooked
potatoes sliced up

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour. Add milk gradually as stirring constantly until thickened. Add garlic powder and 1/2 c. cheese. Combine potatoes and sauce in 2 qt. shallow baking dish; top with remaining cheese.

Bake at 375º F. 25 minutes or until browned and cheese is melted thoroughly.

This is a wonderful side dish and you will never have any leftovers.

Many times I use a whole 2 c. bag of sharp cheddar cheese. 1c in the sauce and the other on top. Swiss cheese may also be substituted.
