8 cups, scalded, milk
4 T flour
3-3/4 cups sugar
8 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
2 cans low fat evaporated Carnation milk
4 T pure vanilla extract
2 % milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl
Add slightly beaten eggs
Beat altogether until thoroughly blended
In a large kettle, measure milk and heat over medium heat until scalded
Add egg mixture to the scalded milk, mix thoroughly
Cook over medium heat, 10 minutes stirring constantly at first.
Should custard have curdled appearance, it will disappear in freezing.
Cool in refrigerator, pour into freezer container, add evaporated milk and
vanilla.
Fill with regular milk within 2 inches of top.
Freeze with a combination of ice cream freezer salt and ice
Makes l-1/2 gallon of ice cream
When frozen, place in a plastic container and put in deep freezer
