1 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. white flour
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/2 t. salt
1 T. baking powder
1/3 c. honey
1 large egg
3 T. oil
1 c. milk
1 c. huckleberries

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients. Mix next 4 ingredients in a separate bowl. Add enough of second mixture to dry ingredients to make a lumpy batter. Add berries or drop into 3/4 filled, greased muffin cups. Bake in a preheated 400º oven 20 to 25 minutes.

This is another recipe Dad brought home from the fishing boat in Alaska. He has blessed us many times by getting up at the crack of dawn to make these and we would awake to a house filled with the smell of fresh baked huckleberry muffins. Of course you can use any berry but it wouldn't be the Watson traditional muffins without the huckleberries!
