1 c. melted butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1 t. baking soda
2 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
1 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and butter together. Add eggs. Mix together buttermilk and soda, let sit, then add to mixture. Stir together cornmeal, flour and salt. Add to wet ingredients and mix till barely combined. Don't over mix once you have added flour. Pour into a greased 13x9 and bake at 375º for 30 minutes or pour into muffin cups and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

This would be my favorite cornbread, it is more like cake! Serve it with butter and honey and it is wonderful!
