Cake:
1-1/3 cup boiling water
3/4 cup oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cocoa

Topping:
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 Tbsp. light cream or evaporated milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts
3/4 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal, stir to combine. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy, gradually add sugar and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oatmeal mixture, blend well. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture, blend well. Pour in greased 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 350-degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes. Leave in pan. Combine topping ingredients and spread on cake and broil until bubbly being careful not to over broil.
