7 Idaho potatoes (regular sized, peeled and sliced)
Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Milk
Flour
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
3/4 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Rinse potatoes 4 times to remove starch. 2. Layer: potatoes, salt, onion, butter, milk, dust with flour, and cheese, ending with the cheese. Cover with foil. 3. Bake at 425º about 1 hour and 30 minutes (or until potatoes are done). 4. Remove foil and bake until the top is brown. Note: You could add ham for a one-dish meal.
