1/2 cup of black molasses
1/2 cup of gran. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 cup of melted shortening
1 tsp. soda scant
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda and baking powder. Mix ingredients. Beat well and bake in not too hot oven.
