2 cans tomato paste
1 large can tomato puree
2 cups water
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. oregano
2 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 lb. ricotta cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 box lasagna noodles, cook according to pkg directions

Combine tomato paste, puree, water, sugar, pepper and oregano and simmer. Sauté in oil the onion, garlic, beef and salt. Add to sauce when cooked. Simmer for 2 hours. When sauce is done, cook noodles. Put some sauce in bottom of baking pan. Put in a layer of noodles and sprinkle with sauce then layer some mozzarella, ricotta and Parmesan cheese. Repeat this until all noodles are used to fit pan in layers. I usually mix the ricotta with some sauce before layering. Bake about 30 to 40 minutes at 375-degrees or until bubbly and heated through.
