CAKE RECIPE:

2 C. flour
2 C. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 cup water
5 T. cocoa
1 1/2 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup nuts

ICING RECIPE:

1/2 cup margarine
4 T. cocoa
6 T. milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar

CAKE:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix together flour and sugar in a bowl.
In a saucepan, melt margarine and shortening. Add water and cocoa.Bring to a boil and pour over flour/sugar mixture.
Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and nuts if you want nuts in it.
Stir well.
Pour into sheet cake pan or regular 13 x 9 pan.
Bake 30 minutes.
*(if baking in sheet cake pan, it may only take 15 minutes. Just keep checking it)

ICING:

Melt margarine in saucepan.
Add cocoa and milk. Blend.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and powdered sugar.
Beat until smooth.
Lick the beaters and bowl!!
