2 1/2 c. whole milk
2 T. flour
3 T. cornstarch
1.2 t. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 t. vanilla
2 T, butter

Baked single pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Mix dry ingredients together. Pour scalded milk over the dry ingredients stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until smooth and thick.
Beat egg yolks, and add some of the hot mixture to the yolks. Combine this yolk mixture with the custard. Cook until smooth, approx. 1 minute.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cool.

Pour into the baked pie crust.

Chill.
