2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. stew meat or steak, cut into small pieces
1 large onion
Green pepper, if desired
1 or 2 Tbsp. red pepper
3 Tbsp. chili powder (taste and add as desired)
About 1/2 tsp. oregano
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1 can red kidney beans
2 cans tomatoes undrained
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
Chopped garlic or garlic seasoning to taste

Cook the meat with onion and green pepper if using it. Drain and add to the remaining ingredients. Simmer at least 45 minutes. I usually add the corn to the sauce after it has simmered a while.
