Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 to 5 lb. oven roast
6 carrots, sliced
4 or 5 potatoes, quartered
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 small turnip, optional
3 instant beef bouillon cubes
Water or beef broth
Salt and Pepper
Seasonings of choice.

Directions:
Directions:
Put beef in a roasting pan (probably a 13x9-inch). Center beef and put the vegetables around it. Mix bouillon with water; enough to cover vegetables. Use any seasonings sprinkled over meat and vegetables you desire. I always use parsley for one. Cook in a 350-degree oven for about 2 hours. When done, take meat and vegetables out of pan and place on a platter. Use liquid in pan to make gravy by adding 1 to 2 Tbsp. corn starch; cook to thicken.
