1/2 kg minced meat, cooked
1/2 c. rice, cooked
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 head cabbage
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. diced tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut cabbage leaves from the stem and steam for 10 minutes. Mix beef, rice, egg, tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Place heaping spoonful of beef mixture in a cabbage leaf, roll it up, and place in greased pan. Do the same with remaining beef and cabbage. Mix water and melted butter and pour over all the cabbage rolls. Cook for 1 hour.

We have started covering the cabbage rolls with salsa and cheese after they are cooked and baking for another 10 minutes to melt cheese and blend flavors. Radically enhances this recipe!
