2 lbs. (1 kg) green beans
4 c. water
1 tsp, salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. cayenne powder
1 tsp. seasoning salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. white vinegar
2 tbsp. olive oil or canola oil
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 dash pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Pour oil in bottom of pot. Saute garlic and onion in oil. Add vinegar and sugar, stir. Mix in cayenne powder, chili powder, seasoning salt, salt, and pepper. Add water; brig to a boil. Cut stems off green beans and chop beans into 1-inch pieces. Add to boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 1 hour or until soft. Add water if needed.
