2 1/2 c. beans, soaked
4 tbsp. shortening or oil
2 onions, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. salt
4-6 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. ground cumin
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper, to taste
4 c. beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the onion and garlic in the oil until tender. Add all of the remaining ingredients. Cook 30 minutes in a pressure cooker (or use your preferred method) until beans are tender. If you use a pressure cooker, you may wish to simmer them uncovered for a few minutes to thicken the sauce, if needed. These will remind you of Ranch Style beans.
