1/2 kg (1 lb.) okra, less than 3 inches long
1 tbsp. olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt to taste
1 tsp. minced fresh thyme (1/2 tsp. dried)
1 tsp. minced fresh basil (1/2 tsp. dried)
Ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Wash okra, trim stems but leave on the caps. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot, but not smoking. Add okra and saute, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, cook 1 more minute, stirring constantly. Serve immediately. This very fast and easy and makes a great appetizer!
