2/3 c. margarine
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat on high speed of mixer for 3 minutes. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Add the flour/cocoa mixture alternately with water to the creamed mixture. Blend just until combined. Pour into two greased and cocoa dusted round cake pans or one greased and cocoa dusted 9x13-inch pan. Bake 25-35 minutes at 350 degrees F until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Frost with Cocoa Fudge Frosting. (in this book)

There really is more baking soda than baking powder. Don’t mix up the measurements or it will fail.
