1 lb. ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. molasses
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. ground mustard
pinch ground cloves
pinch cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. grated orange peel (optional)
6 whole wheat buns, split

Directions:

In a saucepan, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, prepared mustard, ground mustard, cloves, cayenne and orange peel if desired. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Serve on buns.

I wasn't the biggest sloppy joe fan (probably because I was using the canned stuff) until I tried this recipe. Love it. Serve with a big green salad. Yum!
