1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
salt
1/2 tsp. maple/maplene flavour
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Ice with caramel icing.

10 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cream
1 cup icing sugar, sifted
1/4 tsp. flavouring
salt

Boil sugar, butter and cream until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add icing sugar and flavouring. Beat until easy to spread.
