Vegetable oil spray for misting the pan
Flour for dusting the pan
1 package plain yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
3/4 cup Amaretto
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon pure almond extract

1 cup confectioners' sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons Amaretto
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly mist the pan with oil and flour.

Place the cake mix, pudding mix, Amaretto, water, oil, eggs, and almond extract in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer for 3 - 4 minutes.

Bake the cake 48 - 52 minutes or until it springs back when lightly pressed with your finger.

Let the cake cool for 15 - 20 minutes then invert the cake onto a serving platter.

Prepare the glaze by mixing the confectioners' sugar and Amaretto in a small mixing bowl. Spoon the glaze over the cake while it is still slightly warm. Let it drizzle over the sides of the cake. Scatter the toasted almonds over the top of the cake to garnish.
