2 tbsp. oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
3 to 3 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water and let stand for 5 minutes. Add the salt and half of the flour; mix. Add sugar, oil, and egg. Beat in a mixer with a dough hook until smooth, gradually adding remaining flour. (You can do this by hand if you don’t have a heavy-duty mixer.) Let rise for one hour in a greased bowl. Punch down and knead 4-5 time. Place in loaf pans or on a baking stone. Let rise again for one hour. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes. A great standby recipe when you need something simple and relatively quick. Makes 2 small loaves.
