8 oz. Flour
4 oz. Margarine
2 oz. Caster Sugar
½ tsp. cream of tartar
½ tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Rub margarine into flour like breadcrumbs. Add sugar, cream of tartar and baking soda and make into stiff paste with milk and ½ egg. Lay on greased tray in 12 lumps and put a small piece of peel of top of each. Brush over with the other ½ of the egg. Dredge with sugar and bake in hot oven until light brown about 15 or 20 minutes.
