2 1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs well beaten
1 cup sour milk
1 cup cooked pitted prunes pureed (about 30)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, measure and sift again with soda and spices. Cream butter: gradually add sugar beating until creamy. Blend in eggs, then prunes. Mix well. Add flour alternately with milk, adding a small amount at a time and beating until smooth after each addition. Pour into a greased 10 inch square pan and bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
