3 c. lentils, rinsed and soaked, 1 to 3 hours
1 onion, diced
3/4 c. oil
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tomato, diced (we use dehydrated))
cumin
salt
6 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
First saute everything but the lentils. Then put in lentils and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until lentils are soft and mushy. (We put it in the pressure canner and cook for 10 minutes). Add salt and cumin to taste. Serve with rice.

This recipe was handed down by the Wilson family. Micah is our bean cooker. She can make this recipe in her sleep. I have always been a little nervous around pressure cookers. Jeff showed Micah once and she never looked back! She has been a huge blessing when we need dinner fast!
