"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

1/2 cup butter, softened

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer beat together butter, and margarine until fluffy. Add flour, powdered sugar and vanilla just until combined and a soft dough is formed.
Roll the dough into tablespoon sized balls (or use the medium size Pampered Chef cookie scoop) and place on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2-inches apart. Make an indentation in the center of each ball. Scoop 2 cherries into each center indentation in the cookies.
Bake for 12 -15 minutes. Allow cookies to cool. Melt the 1/2 cup white chocolate in a zip-lock baggy in the microwave, massaging the chips every 30 seconds until smooth, be careful to not overcook or burn.
Snip a tiny corner out of the baggy with scissors and drizzle the chocolate over each cookie.

These were a little bit of a shock to me because they are my absolute favorite cookie I have ever made and they don't have CHOCOLATE (white chocolate doesn't count) in them!!!! So, so yummy!!
