1 1/2 cp Boiling Water
1 cp Quick Rolled Oats (1 minute)
1/2 cp Shortening
1 cp Brown Sugar
1 1/3 cp Flour
1 cp White Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon

Frosting;

6T Melted Butter
1/2 cp Brown Sugar
3 T Milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 cp Coconut
1/2 cp Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1 1/2 cp boiling water and 1 cp quick rolled oats and cool. Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and cooled oatmeal. Beat well; Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake in greased 8 x 11 pan for 35 minutes at 350º.

Frosting;

Combine frosting ingredients and pour over cake. Serve with ice cream.
