1-1/2 cups flour
3/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup cold water
1/3 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once and add all dry ingredients. Then sift all together again. (dry ingredients) Add rest of ingredients. Blend in bowl until all is moistened. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350-degrees. Frost with Cream Cheese or Buttercream Frosting.

I have added 1/2 cup chocolate chips to recipe and it is very good.
