Apple Bread:
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1-1/2 cups oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups raw apples, chopped and peeled
1 cup pecans

Topping:
1 cup light brown sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1/4 cup evaporated milk

Apple Bread:
Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Grease and flour 2 standard loaf pans. Combine sugar, eggs and oil; beat well. Add vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together; add to mixture. Add apples and pecans. Pour into loaf pans and bake 1 hour.


Topping:
Make just as cake finishes baking; combine brown sugar, butter or margarine and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 2-1/2 minutes. Pour over hot cake while topping is hot. Cool completely in pans before removing.
