k, Judie, improvise!! been in the family for 50 yrs. My husbands mom was poor, and she gave me this recipe: Tamale Pie: Gd. beef, cooked with onions, chp. garlic, and spices: She loved Eagle chili powder, sprinkle to taste, chp. onion, and cook til done.
Is there more? Or just mix with fritos and bake. I think I would sprinkle in some cheese and black olives! . I can taste this, and I think I will try it!
add chili pwdr., cook. Then add (2lbs of gd beef) salt, pepper, cumin, chili pwder. cook till done. Then add: 2 cans, creamed corn, 2 cans, drained whole corn, 2 cans sliced olives, two larg cans of tomatoe sauce, or one of salsa, and one sauce, two sml cans, drained of sliced olives, and simmer. when it seems right, ( an hr or two,) add drined or whole blacl olives. The crush, Fritos two large bags, and add. mix, and add you fa vorite mex cheese and bake at 350, for ? till cheese is slightly brown, ( I love cheddar) and let cool.

It is hit and miss as you know when you are our age, it is not written in a recipe, but am sure as you make it, you will improve on it. Let me know how it turns out. It is perfect for a large crowd! I always have sour cream and sliced green onions on the side.
