2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup finely chopped nuts or 1 cup coconut or 1 cup chopped cherries or chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Mix well & add nuts, cherries, coconut or choc. chips. Form into rolls. You can separate dough & make more than one kind at this point if you wish then form into rolls. Wrap rolls & freeze until you want to bake. Let sit at room temperature for a bit until you can slice easily. Slice 1/4" thick & bake at 375 degrees for approx. 10 min.

Great for busy family. Make when you have time. Then you can still have home made cookies on busy days. Just bake & eat. My Granny always had these around.
