3/4 c. sugar
dash of salt
1/4 c. flour
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 T. vanilla
2 c. Half & Half
3-4 bananas, sliced
vanilla wafers

Meringue:
3 egg whites
6 T. sugar
2 dashes of cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt, and flour. Add to egg yolks and vanilla in a double boiler. Slowly add Half & Half, stirring frequently. Heat until it thickens. Layer wafers and banana slices in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Add pudding. To make meringue, beat egg whites and cream of tartar for 2 minutes. Slowly add sugar and vanilla until very stiff. Spread over pudding and bake at 350 degrees until the meringue is golden brown.
