111 grams (3/4 cup) whole grain GF flour
1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar or coconut palm sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 - 3 tbsp milk
8 oz (240 g) Canadian Cream Cheese, softened
1 egg
1 cup maple syrup
1 apple, finely diced

Topping:
37 grams (1/4 cup) whole grain GF flour
1/4 cup butter , at room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar or coconut palm sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375oF (190oC).
Mix flour with butter, brown sugar and baking powder until smooth.
Stir in milk and spread mixture out along bottom of a square 8” or 9” (20 cm or 22 cm) baking pan.
Whip Cream Cheese along with egg and maple syrup. Pour into pan over crust and top with diced apple.
In a bowl, stir together all ingredients for topping until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over the Cream Cheese mixture in pan.
Bake in the oven for 30–40 minutes or until top is golden brown. Let cool and serve.


Tip - You can also stuff hollowed-out apple halves with the Cream Cheese mixture and garnish with the topping. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
