2 7-ounce packages of vanilla caramels
1 1/2 tbsp. butter or 2 tbsp. heavy cream
2 tsp. butter
72 pecan halves (1/4 lb.)
bit of salt

25 squares of chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels and butter in double boiler.

Heat oven to 300ºF. Melt two teaspoons butter on cookie sheet or shallow pan. Stir in nuts and salt. Let toast for 15 minutes.

Arrange pecans on buttered sheet. Spoon on caramel mixture.

Melt approximately half of chocolate, then take off heat and stir until smooth. Pour on nuts.
