Ingredients:
Bottom:
1 C butter
1/3 C cocoa
4 eggs
2 C sugar
1 1/2 C sifted flour
1 C pecans, chopped (optional)
1 C coconut (optional)

Middle:
1 jar marshmallow creme

1/2 C evaporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1 C nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

Melt butter and cocoa together. Using a large bowl, cream together sugar, flour, and eggs. Add cocoa mixture. (If using, add pecans and coconut at this time.) Pour into a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. While still hot, spread marshmallow creme on top.

Topping: Mix cocoa with melted butter. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. (If using, add nuts at this time.) Cool slightly. Pour over marshmallow creme and let cool before cutting into 1" squares.

***Note: I have written the recipe as given to us by my aunt's mother in law. However, I have found that 30 minutes is a bit long in my oven. I now never go over 25 minutes or else I have a bottom layer as hard as a brick. Keep in mind, everyone's ovens vary. I suggest however to start checking it around 25 minutes. If it appears done, take it out as more time can be fatal to the knife and teeth.

Personal Notes:
