2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
1 can fruit cocktail, as is
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Glaze:
1 C sugar
1 small can (3/4 cup) evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

Cake: Stir together eggs, flour, sugar, vanilla, baking soda, and fruit cocktail. Pour into greased 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts over top. Bake approx. 45 minutes or until done.

Glaze: Boil together sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla, and butter. Pour over warm cake.

This was THE go-to cake for all fundraisers at the VFW. It's amazing how different this cake came out from different cooks, all with the same recipe.
