Bread Dough
1 cup water
1 package yeast
6 cups flour
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. Crisco shortening
Toppings
Butter & Sugar
Powdered Sugar
Sugar & Cinnamon
Tomato Sauce & Cheese
Garlic & Butter
Whatever ???

Directions:
Scald milk and add sugar, salt, shortening and water. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and add to milk mixture. Add flour a little at a time to make a stiff dough. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise to double in size. Punch down dough.
Heat some vegetable oil, about an inch, in a large deep fry pan over medium heat. Roll and stretch the dough to about the size of a 4 - 6 inch circle. Fry the dough until golden brown on both sides, remove and drain on paper towels.
While hot, add toppings of your choice.
note: If you have meatballs or sausage in your sauce, why not use as a topping.
