4 large ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/8 tsp salt
1 9" unbaked pastry shell

Topping:
1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c all-purpose flour
1/4 c butter melted
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425ºF

Combine pears, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Pour into pastry shell. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over filling. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Serve warm. Store in the refrigerator.
