4 slices crisp bacon -- chopped in smaller pieces
1/2 onion sauted in butter until soft
1 T minced garlic -- sauted with the onion

Cheese Sauce:
2 T. butter
1/8 cup flour
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup 1/2 and 1/2
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup Parmesan grated cheese
1 cup shredded medium cheddar cheese
salt & pepper to taste

Macaroni or pasta - 7 oz. cooked to firm stage

saute onions and garlic - set aside.

Cook macaroni according to the package instructions to the firm stage.

in small sauce pan, melt 2 T butter. Whisk in flour -- constantly whisking. Slowly pour in milk and 1/2 and 1/2 whisking the entire time. Cook for 3-4 minutes until thick and bubbly.

Beat egg. Add 1 T. white sauce into the egg to temper the egg. Then add beaten egg to the white sauce.

Add parmesan and cheddar cheese. Mix until cheese is melted. Take sauce off the heat.

Add bacon, onion/garlic mixture and macaroni to the sauce. Mix well

Pour into small casserole dish (well greased). Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
