4 - 2-3lb whole chickens (the smaller chickens fit better on the cans and do not tip over as easy as big ones. 1 Chicken per 3 people)
4 - 12oz cans beer (1can per chicken)
1 - 8 oz bottle Italian Dressing
1 - Pkg Fajita or Taco seasoning mix
4 - zip top freezer bags (1 bag per chicken)

Place each chicken in a large zip top plastic freezer bag. 1 Chicken per bag. Combine Italian dressing and the seasoning mix; pour evenly over chickens. Seal bags and chill for 8 hours, turning or shaking bag occasionally.
Remove chicken from marinade, discard all marinade. Spray each beer can with a non-stick cooking spray or rub them down with oil. Open each beer can. Pour out 1/4 to 1/2 of each beer and reserve for another use, leave remaining beer in cans. Place each chicken upright into the beer can; the cavity should fit perfectly onto the can; pull legs forward to form a tripod effect, allowing the chickens to stand upright on their own.
Light one side of the grill heating to 400-500 degrees. Place chickens -(on a cookie sheet, an old one with sides, or disposable pie pans work well to catch the drippings, optional)- upright over the grill grates, on the unlit side of the grill; Grill with the grill lid down 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown and a meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of thigh reaches 180 degrees.
Carefully remove cans, let rest 5-10 minutes, cut chickens into quarters, or let it be self serve.
