5 T butter
1 each onion, minced
1 carrot grated
2 stalks celery, sliced thinly
8 oz mushrooms, sliced thin (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 t thyme
1/2 t rosemary
1 lb ground beef
2 cans 28 oz plum tomatoes, drained
1 can 6 oz tomato paste
1/2 to 3/4 15 oz can beef broth
2 cubes beef bouillon

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in butter for 5 minutes. Add carrot, celery, sauté 10
minutes. Add mushrooms, garlic, thyme, rosemary, sauté 5 minutes.
Add beef, tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and bouillon cubes.
Cook for a while (30 minutes to 2 hours). Sauce should not be too liquid.
