Directions: |
Directions: In a large skillet (w/ a dash of olive oil) brown chicken thighs and wings over medium high heat, making sure not to crowd the pan about 3-4 mins each side. Place the chicken in a stock pot along with any juices in the pan. Run cold water over the chicken and fill the pot leaving a few inches at the top. Add remaining ingredients (dont worry about chopping the garlic, onion,s celery or carrots just make sure everything is washed first!) Bring to a boil then set to simmer. Allow the broth to simmer over medium/low heat for 4-6 hours. You will need to add water as the amount will deplete as you continue to simmer. Make sure the ingredients are always covered with at least a few inches of water/broth to spare. Strain and reserve the stock in a pot. Place in fridge overnight. Reheat and use in soups or for cooking! |
